Produce a 360 traditional campaign to promote your selected ‘dream destination’ to gain awareness, exposure and increase tourism to it. It can be somewhere you’ve always wanted to go, off the beaten path, not typical.
Who is the Client?
Our client is the tourism organization that represents your selected destination or an airline that goes there. If your selection doesn’t currently have representation, create a fictional one for it: Phuket Islands.
Phuket is one of the southern provinces of Thailand. It consists of the island of Phuket, the country’s largest island, and another 39 smaller islands off its coast.
For my campaign to showcase Phuket to Canadians, I decided to focus on a very specific, and unique aspect about Phuket: It’s island’s. The campaign, 39 Islands, is a 360 experiential campaign including print and digital posters, a digital leaderboard, social media presence, online tactics, and TV commercial spots. On social media if individuals use the hashtag, #39ISLANDS and include an image/video post of them on an island, they have entered themselves into a giveaway in which the winner will receive all expense paid trip to Phuket to attempt the #39Island Challenge. To advertise the campaign, Phuket Islands will have 2 online tactics: a Snapchat Geofilter and live story for visitors to share their experiences. The other tactic is a Youtube series called “#39Islands Challenge” which features a man and woman who island hop to each and every island in Phuket to spread awareness and showcase the beauty and unique experiences on each island.
